What to do when you’re sad
8 Things you can do when you are feeling sad.
Hi friends it’s me Jarvais Po.  If you’re like me you may have moments when you feel sad.  When I was getting bullied it made me really sad and unmotivated.  It was hard for me to even go out and play with my friends Brea Brocolli and Alvin Avocado.  I tried to talk to my parents a little bit but I don’t think they knew how sad I was.  I’m fine now and doing way better but I wanted to share some tips on what to do when you are feeling sad.  Luckily, our good friend Gbubemi Uwaifo (pronounced boo-be’-me Ooh-y-foe)  is a licensed therapist and wellness expert at Affirm Wellness . She helps people live their best and healthiest life. Gbubemi stopped by Harvest Farm and taught us what we can all do when we are sad.  Check it out below.

8 Things you can do when you are feeling sad.

  1. Allow yourself to get out of the DARKNESS: Talk to someone you trust and feel safe with. Keeping your sadness a secret can make you feel worse. Talk your way into the light.
  2. REMEMBER the great things about yourself: Say three things you love about yourself everyday after brushing your teeth while looking in the mirror.
  3. READ or watch something that makes you laugh or smile to cheer you up.
  4. Find your Rhythm: Dance to your favorite song or make up a song in your mind to dance to wiggle and giggle the sadness away.
  5. Find your GLOW again: Stretch your hands up towards the sky, stretch your hands down toward the ground, stretch your hands in front of you, and lastly, stretch your hands to the side.
  6. Be CREATIVE: Draw or write out how you are feeling or something that makes you smile.
  7. Remember your WORTH: Remember that there is only one you. You are a special part of this world. There is a unique gift inside of you that only you can share with the world to make it better.
  8. Take some MINDFUL Breathes: Breathe in through your nose and think happiness and breathe out through your mouth like you are blowing out a birthday candle and think sadness.
